In this post I will explain how to easily multiply a number by 11. As usual, we can

try this out with a simple example.

Example 1 : 22 X 11

    22 X
    11
 --------
    22
   22
 --------
   242
 ========

Using the Magical methods

    2  2 X
    1  1
 --------------------------
    2    (2+2)   2
  --------------------------
Makes it   (2) (4) (2)
 ==========================

The rule is quite simple. Put the number to be multiplied with the sum of the numbers in the middle. Now let us try it with another example.

Example 2 : 36 X 11

    36 X
    11

    36
   36
 --------
   396
 ========
